Using the Players

The conaito PPT2Flash SDK bundles with itself three sample players for viewing the output flash files. You can use either of the three depending upon your requirements or develop your own custom player (source code available).

The Players:

    1. HTML/SWF (index.html, index.swf) based player which you can use for your web based applications.
    2. HTML/ JavaScript/ SWF based based player which you can use for your web based applications. This player demonstrate how you can use JavaScript to control the converted presentation.
    3. The compiled Flash Player (index.exe) that you can use as stand alone.

Getting the HTML Player to function properly

The HTML player is automatically copied to the output location on successful conversion of the PowerPoint files. You just need to run the Index.html file to view the output.

While executing the output through the HTML player, you may receive a Java Script based error “Access is Denied”. This error occurs only if you are executing the HTML file directly from your local drive. This error will not appear in case you are viewing it through IIS. (http://localhost/Test/Index.html).

To resolve this you need to go to Tools à Internet Options

Go to Security tab

Go to Security à Custom Level and enable the option Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe.

Enable the option Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe

Press OK on both the screens and refresh the page. Now it should work perfectly.
