Do you offer discounts to educational and non-profit organizations?

Yes, we offer discounts to established educational, non-profit and charity entities provided that you purchase directly from us. Our standard discount is 10% and can be applied to any product license. These special discounts cannot be combined with any other type of discount.

To qualify for the discount, you need to send us a document clearly indicating that you are a member of the respective institution. An official e-mail from your official account which bears your signature is sufficient in most cases.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Conaito offers the following volume discounts:

3 to 4 licenses - 10%
5 to 9 licenses - 15% 
10 to 15 licenses - 20%
16 to 20 licenses - 25%

Volume discounts are applicable to volume purchases of identical products in any single purchase, and cannot be used for multiple orders.

If you are making the purchase on-line, just include in your cart the number of licenses you want to purchase and the volume discount will be applied automatically.

Do you offer competitive upgrades?

Yes, we do offer competitive upgrades. Please contact the sales team at sales@conaito.com for more information and mention (1) the competing products that you own at the moment, and (2) the Conaito licenses to which you wish to upgrade.

Ordering

How can I place an order online?

The fastest and easiest way to obtain a Conaito product license is through our online store: www.conaito.com/purchase.aspx

1. After you select a license you will be asked to review and agree to the License Agreement.
2. On the following screen you will be prompted to enter your billing information and the end-user (the person who will own and manage the license) information.
3. Finally you will be prompted to enter your payment details.
4. Within a couple of minutes after placing the order you will receive an automatic purchase confirmation letter.

What is VAT ID and where do I enter it?

Private customers from EU member states must pay VAT on purchases of electronically-delivered products. If your company resides in the European Union and has a valid VAT ID, please enter this information in the VAT ID field of the online order form. If you do not enter a VAT ID, you will be recognized as a private customer and the VAT rate for your country will be added to the basic price of the software. Corporate and/or private customers from USA and other non-EU countries are NOT affected by this regulation.

How can I order a license for someone else?

Upon making the purchase through our e-store you will find a special 'License Holder Details' section where you will be able to fill out the end-user details (email and name). The license will be automatically activated under the License Holder's account and he/she will receive an email with download instructions whereas the electronic invoice will be sent to the email entered under "Billing Information."

How do I renew my Subscription?

Shortly before your subscription expires after your purchase, we will send you an invitation to renew. We send 4 Subscription reminder e-mails (2 months, 1 month, 2 weeks and 1 week prior to expiration). In order to renew, login to Your Account and click on Renewals and Upgrades.

How can I check my upgrade options?

We offer upgrades from a non-Subscription License to the Developer License with Subscription and Priority Support. The upgrade price changes depending on how much time after your original order date you purchase your upgrade.

Please visit the "Renewals & Upgrades" page in Your Account to review your upgrade options and pricing. Depending on what license you originally purchased and when you bought it, the upgrade price may differ.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

As payment methods we accept credit cards, wire transfers and paypal.

To pay with wire transfer or paypal, please send us the following information, so that we can generate a Proforma invoice for you: · Your billing address · Your shipping address · The license holder e-mail address · The license(s) you would like to purchase · The quantity · If you would like the subscription included · Your VAT ID (if applicable)

When you send the payment, please include the Proforma invoice number with the wire details.

What types of credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB, Diners Club and Carte Blanche. The advantage of using a credit card to make your payment is that your order will be processed immediately and you will be able to download the software without delay. If your CC is not mentioned in the list above, you can also pay via bank transfer or paypal. In that case you will need to send us a Purchase Order.

We want to make a wire transfer. What currencies do you accept?

We accept wire transfers only in EURO. Bank account information will be included in your invoice. Please review the Purchase Orders page for more information on how to raise a PO.

Do you accept checks?

How do I receive the invoice for my purchase?

Once your order is finalized, you will receive an email receipt for the payment.

In case you need an official PDF invoice, you can request one by posting us a ticket through your Conaito account (the account under which the purchase has been made). When you login you need to go to: "Your Account" >> "View Order History", and from there you will be able to request an invoice for any of your orders.

Do you offer refunds?

We are very proud that only a few customers have requested a refund because we provide a quality pre-sales experience:

• Our trials are fully functional and have no special trial limitations
• Our trial license includes 30 days of free Technical Support, so you can contact our technical support team
• Our products are well-documented and they are supplemented with a vibrant, active on-line community

Returns are honored by special request only and cannot be guaranteed. Generally, we make refunds only in case a credit card was stolen and used to purchase a Conaito product license.

There are no refunds on subscription renewals or licenses with subscription once the source code has been downloaded. For refunds of licenses without subscriptions, please e-mail us at sales@conaito.com with the reason(s) why you are requesting a refund, and a member of our team shall respond promptly to your inquiry.

Licensing

How do you license your Developer licenses?

Our Developer Licenses allow 1 developer (depending of purchased Developer licenses) to work with the design-time product. If you purchase a license for multiple products still only 1 developer (depending of purchased Developer licenses) would be able to use the Conaito tools.

The Developer Licenses are perpetual and have NO deployment limitations - they allow the use of our controls for an unlimited number of distributions (purchased number of product licenses).

I purchased a Developer License a couple of weeks before your major version release. Am I eligible for a free upgrade?

Yes, we offer free major version product updates if you have placed your order within 30 days prior to the official release of the major version.

What are the advantages of the License with Subscription?

The Developer License with Subscription is the best choice for professional developers. Below you will find the reasons why our customers prefer this licensing option.

What happens with my support package when my subscription expires?

The support and maintenance subscription provides you with support for the purchased product. In addition your subscription provides all new product releases, updates and upgrades while your subscription is active. If your support and maintenance subscription has expired it can be renewed by purchasing a "Subscription Renewal" within 30 days after expiration. If you decide not to renew your support package, you will still be able to use the forum and KB articles, but you will not be able to take advantage of the on-line ticketing system or e-mail support.

Can I use the product(s) after my subscription expires?

You can continue using the products that were licensed to you during the subscription term even after the subscription expires. In case you would like to continue to receive product updates and support, you need to renew your subscription.

Can I assign users from anywhere in the world to my license?

Upon your purchase of a product license you become the License Holder and a customer account is created in our system. You will have access to a special utility in Your Account from where you can assign licensed users (developers or consultants). The assigned user will receive his/her own credentials to log into the system and will have access to the software and support.

Whenever you decide to re-assign the product to another user you can delete the current Licensed User from your Users list and assign a new User. There will not be a physical transfer of the license as everything happens online and is a matter of granting rights regardless of where the user is located.

Am I entitled to free upgrades as part of my license?

Depending on the license which you have purchased you may be entitled to Service Pack releases only or to Major Version Releases.

If you have purchased a Developer License with Subscription, you will be entitled to receive all Major Version Releases and corresponding Service Packs within purchased subscription period from the purchase date.

If you have purchased a Developer License (without Subscription), you will be entitled only to Service Pack releases for the major version you have purchased.

Which license should I purchase if I want to buy the Source code?

The source code (if available to purchase) with the Source Code License (as well with Subscription, if required).

How does your licensing handle redistribution rights?

Our developer licenses are royalty free - the licensed developer can use our tools in:

• Developed solutions for internal company use
• Hosted Web applications
• Commercial solutions deployed for end-customers by our customers

There are 3 major limitations which require additional discussion with our sales team:

• A product that exposes the design-time of our products. Examples: Visual Studio.NET plug-in, code generators. More or less, none of the commercial component vendors is OK with this type of usage.
• Modules/components that DO NOT add significant primary functionality. Example: a WordPress Plugin that is sold as a separate product and includes VoIP functionality. In such cases we offer plugin developers a reseller arrangement so that everyone has an incentive to enter into a relationship.
• Open source projects. We are avid supporters of many open source initiatives. However, our standard policies do not allow the native integration of our products in open source products as there aren't any good ways to protect our products in such an environment. It's just too much legal lingo and administration to ensure that everyone downloading a project on SourceForge knows what's inside, what parts of the solution he/she can use freely and which he/she cannot and so on.

Product Delivery

How is the software delivered?

The software is delivered electronically only. There is no physical shipment.

How do I obtain my credentials for my customer account and download the software?

After placing an order you should receive 2 e-mails: one with payment information and another one with software download instructions.

In case you do not have an active account with Conaito, you will also receive an email with an activation link, through which you will be able to set your password.

The e-mail with software download instructions will be sent to the License Holder's email account specified in the order form. It will contain the license holder's login credentials and download instructions. This e-mail should arrive within 15 minutes after you placed the order.

You will be able to download the software from Your Account. You will only need to follow the instructions in the order confirmation e-mail sent to the end-user.

How quickly is the software delivered?

The software is delivered electronically and delivery time is depending of validation process of the choosed payment type. If you have placed the order online, you will receive the order confirmation e-mail with software download instructions within minutes, after validated order. You will be able to download the purchased software from Your Account.

If you have sent us a Purchase Order, please allow up to 24 hours for processing from received payment.

Trials

Do you offer a free trial?

We offer fully functional trials which work without license keys and can be conveniently deployed on any development, test or production machine. The only difference between the trial and the developer build is that with the evaluation copy you will get a trial message and a time limitation. Upon replacing the trial dll with the developer dll or used by your license key, the trial message will disappear.

How long can I use a free trial?

The free trial licenses of all Conaito Developer Tools will work for an limited time and with trial messages displayed on the page (depending of product).
